La [[Parker]] continuò a produrre penne in ebanite con buoni risultati, puntando sulla funzionalità delle sue penne e sui vantaggi del [[pulsante di fondo]], ma il vero salto di qualità avvenne nel 1921, con il lancio sul mercato della [[Duofold]], che riscosse un enorme successo, facendo arrivare l'azienda ai vertici delle vendite. La creazione di una penna di grandi dimensioni, realizzata in ebanite di un colore rosso vivo, fu una rivoluzione nel mondo fino allora dominato dal colore nero, ed anticipò di vari anni l'introduzione dei colori della celluloide.
