The code is found predominantly on the ''[[flat top]]''  versions in celluloid produced from 1927 (the [[Carter Coralite Pen]]), but is also found for the successive ''[[streamlined]]'' versions and on the [[Pearltex]] versions (the [[Carter Pearltex Pen]]).
