The ''Dunn'' was founded in New York in [[1921]] with headquarters at 300 Madison Avenue, but among its founders does not figure directly ''Charles Dunn'', the inventor from whom the company takes its name, which seems to have died of tuberculosis shortly before the foundation of the company.
