The initial production marked [[The King]] consisted of excellent quality [[BCHR|hard rubber]] safeties marked  ''The King Superior'', they were pens made ​​in the [[Waterman 42]] style but with beautiful engraved clips. From the same period is also the production of [[overlay]] pens engraved with the mark on the edge of the cap, like the one shown in the image on the left. This initial production features original characters and cannot be attributed in any way to the [[OMAS]] production. It's also known a production of [[lever filler]] models.

Un legame con la [[Omas]] è certamente testimoniato dalla [[penna del dottore]] marchiata [[The King]] mostrata nella figura a fianco. E' possibile dunque che alcuni modelli, come quello illustrato, venissero prodotti su commissione e poi rimarchiati. Se esistono pertanto (come vedremo anche più avanti) tracce evidenti che legano la [[The King]] alla [[Omas]] resta comunque del tutto inattendibile l'ipotesi opposta che sarebbe stata la [[The King]]/[[SAFIS]] a produrre le penne per la [[Omas]], visto che la fondazione dell'azienda è successiva.
