La immagine del meccanismo di caricamento brevettato usato da queste penne, che si trova sul catalogo [[The King]] ritrovato negli archivi [[Omas]], è infatti identica a quella di un brevetto di Armando Simoni ({{Cite patent|US|1784078}}) che nella versione francese risulta essere stato ottenuto in Italia nel [[1929]]. Una ulteriore indicazione che in qualche modo sia stata la [[Omas]] a fornire tecnologia alla [[The King]] nei primi anni di vita di questa azienda.
