Non è chiaro se il marchio fosse legato ad una azienda autonoma o ad una produzione effettuata da parte di altri. Le poche fonti documentali disponibili originano dai cataloghi Cesare Marinai, in cui questo marchio compare insieme ad altri riconducibili alla produzione dei [[Fratelli Cavaliere]]. La produzione venduta da Marinai riporta esplicitamente il [[punzone]] ''CM''.
