La decorazione in argento denominata ''tula'' (usata prevalentemente nella produzione tedesca, da cui si prende il nome), ma più nota in altri ambiti con il nome di ''[[niello]]'', è una delle varianti con cui venivano realizzate decorazioni e [[overlay|rivestimenti]] all'epoca delle prime penne stilografiche. Questa lavorazione era tipica della produzione europea (ed in particolare della [[Kaweco]]).
