Le date vanno inserite nella forma internazionale (AAAA-MM-GG), in genere è sufficiente indicare l'anno. Se si indica una "OrigDate"; ad esempio la fondazione iniziale della [[Pelikan]], non si metta mai "Date" e si metta invece (se nota) "ProdDate" per indicare quando la produzione di stilografiche è iniziata. Per aziende fondate da una persona ma rese note in seguito sotto altro nome (ad esempio la [[Pelikan]] o la [[Holland]]) si indichi come "Ancestor" il fondatore iniziale, e come "Founder" il protagonista che han reso significativa l'azienda.
