Benché non si tratti strettamente di un produttore di penne stilografiche, la ''Fratelli Cavaliere'' ha un ruolo significativo nella storia della stilografica italiana, in quanto è agli apici nella lavorazione di [[rivestimenti]] laminati che si ritrovano in penne distribuite con moltissimi altri marchi. Pertanto anche in assenza di una produzione marchiata esplicitamente ''Cavaliere'' è abbastanza comune trovare penne, come quella in foto a fianco, recanti il marchio dell'azienda: un ferro di cavallo intersecato da un pennino, registrato con la dicitura ''"Fabbrica penne oro e fermagli"''.<ref>l'immagine si trova sul libro di Letizia Jacopini, dove viene riportato come "Marca di fabbrica, C.P.E.
