La produzione iniziale a marchio [[The King]] era composta da [[rientranti]] in [[BCHR|ebanite nera]] marchiate ''The King Superior'' di ottima qualità, si tratta di penne realizzate secondo lo stile della [[Waterman 42]] ma con bellissime clip istoriate. Dello stesso periodo è inoltre la produzione di penne [[overlay|rivestite]] che recano l'incisione del marchio sul bordo del cappuccio, come quello illustrato nella immagine a lato. Questa produzione iniziale presenta caratteri originali e non è riconducibile in alcun modo alla produzione della [[Omas]]. E' inoltre presente una produzione di modelli con [[caricamento a levetta]].
