In realtà le attività dell'azienda nel campo delle stilografiche originano negli anni '10, dato che oltre al marchio ''Eterno'' ({{Marchio|12335}}) fin dal [[1912]] ''Emil Uhlmann'' registrò i marchi [[Famos]] ({{Marchio|12938}}) e ''The Royal'' ({{Marchio|14896}}) che contengono un riferimento esplicito alle ''fountain pen''. Dato che difficilmente si registra un marchio per qualcosa che non si vende, questo consente di attribuire alla ''Uhlmann's Eterno'' il titolo di più antico produttore italiano. Una ulteriore conferma viene da cartolina pubblicitaria posta in vendita su un sito internet per una rientrante denominata [[Eterno No 6]], su un lato della quale compare la scritta 1908.
