In [[1927]] the two Verga brothers, Alfredo and Eugenio, who until then had brought together the ''"Alfredo Verga dei Fratelli Verga Snc"'', owner of the [[Columbus]] trademark, parted. Eugenio become the owner of the [[Columbus]] brand, while Alfredo founded his new company that took the name of ''Omega A.V.M.'' (short for Alfredo Verga Milan).  

Nel [[1927]] i due fratelli Verga, Alfredo ed Eugenio, che fino ad allora avevano condotto insieme la ''Alfredo Verga dei Fratelli Verga Snc'', proprietaria del marchio [[Columbus]], si separarono. Eugenio rimase proprietario del marchio [[Columbus]], mentre Alfredo fondò una sua nuova azienda che prese il nome di ''Omega A.V.M.'' (registrato lo stesso anno, {{Marchio|35467}}), dove A.V.M. è l'acronimo di Alfredo Verga Milano.

 

Benché non risulti nessuna registrazione, vi sono forti indicazioni che l'azienda sia anche la produttrice del marchio [[Ardita]], un marchio minore usato nella produzione economica, essendo state ritrovate penne marchiate ''Ardita A.V.M.'',<ref>si consulti  [https://forum.fountainpen.it/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=13006 questo argomento] per i dettagli.</ref> caratterizzate dallo stesso acronimo, risultate poi in ulteriori ritrovamenti<ref>dettagliati in questo [https://forum.fountainpen.it/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=14195 ulteriore argomento] con le relative foto.</ref> essere dotate di pennino marcato ''Omega A.V.M.'' il che porta a pensare che questo marchio venisse usato dall'azienda per la sua produzione di fascia bassa.

These models were followed by celluloid [[button filler]] models called ''[[Supernova]]'', and later also with [[lever filler]]. The information about this company are quite slim, but the production seems to be continued even after the war, with imitations of American models, in particular, is known a version of ''[[Supernova]]'' with a clip very similar to that of a [[Skyline]] and a wide band on the cap like the one found on certain [[Crest]] and [[Tuckaway]] models.
