Although this advertisement is showing a significant link with the Wirt (they were dealers at least until August 1903), in the second half of the first decade of the century Aikin Lambert was influenced and maintained very close relations with its neighbour Waterman, on behalf of which it produced the mechanical pencils, and from which it was absorbed in the period between 1906 and 1911, becoming in practice a subbrand.[1] However, production continued for some years: at the beginning were produced hard rubber models that were substantially identical to the analogues of Waterman, but also models in celluloid of good quality.

  1. The complete acquisition would take place in the first half of 1911 according to the detailed historical reconstruction of David Nishimura, reported here, we will refer to its dates, considered more reliable than the generic reference to the 1920s made here and the reference to 1915 made here.
