In 1936 was introduced and patented a new model, the Lucens, with an original (for Italy), loading system, called stantuffo tuffante.[1] The mechanism is essentially identical to the one used by Dunn about 15 years earlier, although it is not possible to determine whether it was a copy or an original independent creation. Despite this the Lucens is one of the most beautiful pens ever made, especially for the beauty of the different kind of semi-transparent celluloid used to made it, giving a direct view of the ink level.
